Insurance & Billing

We Accept Most Insurance Carriers

Please have your card with you at the time of your visit. If we file your claim, you are responsible for only the co-pay at the time of the visit. If we are not a provider for your insurance, if you are not insured or if we do not file with your insurance company, you may be responsible for the entire charge at the time of service. Be sure to check with your insurance provider to ensure coverage before scheduling an appointment. Westside Pediatrics does not quote insurance benefits, but asks that you refer to your insurance carrier to understand the benefits and limitations of your policy.

Newborn Insurance Information:

Please make every effort to obtain active insurance within 30 days after birth.  If insurance is not obtained in a timely manner, you will be responsible for any unpaid claims due to no coverage.

Employer Health Plan:

Contact your Employer's HR or Benefits department and inform them that you would like to add your new baby to your health plan. They will let you know next steps.

Some employers require a birth certificate or social security number, which can take a few weeks to receive. It is important to start the process of adding your newborn to your health plan prior to receiving these documents.

Directly with Insurance Carrier:

Contact the Member Service number on the back of your insurance card and inform them that you would like to add your new baby to your health plan. They will let you know next steps.

We do not participate in Worker's Compensation insurance. Any balance not paid by your insurance company will be billed to you. Bills can be paid online, by phone, or in person with credit card, debit card, cash, or check. For purposes of HMO co-payments, we consider the parent accompanying the child to the office responsible for the co-payment. Our contract with your insurance company requires us to collect co-payments except under very rare circumstances. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please stop into the billing office or call 247-5400 option 4 at your earliest convenience. The billing specialists have information about community-based insurance available for children, and they want to work with you so that your child may continue to receive care in our office. Insurance claims denied as the result of improper PCP designation will become your financial responsibility. Please refer to our financial policy for more information.
